The Alton Bay Christian Conference Center was founded in 1863 by the Advent Christian Church, a conservative evangelical group.  This year-round Conference Center exists to promote the cause of Christ.  A a summer experience is offered combining the development of a vital relationship with God and relaxation.  Located in one of New England's prime resort regions, the complex overlooks beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee.  It offers a unique location where people of all ages can enjoy inspiration and recreation.  The purpose of the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center is to change lives by encouraging commitment to Jesus Christ and offering opportunities to mature in one's Christian life style.  An effort is made to accomplish this through evangelism, encouragement of believers, and equipping Christians to be effective leaders in their homes, churches, workplaces and communities.  The summer program features outstanding inspirational speakers, seminar leaders and weekly concerts.  The goal is to provide opportunities for fellowship, prayer, Bible study, relaxation, rest, recreation and participation in a variety of activities geared to foster spiritual growth.

Rules for All Rentals

1. NO PETS (one exception — seeing-eye assistance dogs may be granted permission from conference center office)
2. No Smoking, no illegal drugs, no alcoholic beverages, no fireworks of any kind (including sparklers), nor firearms are allowed anywhere on the conference center grounds (indoors or outdoors).
3. Open fires are limited to cooking grills.  The grill must be located a minimum of 4 feet from any building or combustible material.
4. Quiet time hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
5. Bicycle rules are strictly enforced.
   • Fast riding is not allowed (10 mph) on the campground.
   • Bicycles must be walked in the center complex area, Mission Path, Trailer Park Path, and Back Bay Path during the summer season.
6. Soaps/detergents or any other pollutants are NOT to be used in or near the Back Bay swimming /docks area.
7. All boats and trailers are to be registered with the office and docked/stored/parked in specific designated areas — check with the office.
8. All preschoolers are to be accompanied by a responsible person when using the public restrooms, visitor’s lounge, dining hall, beach or other public facilities.
9. The speed limit on the grounds is 10 mph.
10. Off road vehicles are not permitted.
11. The beach and other sport areas are closed during services.  The beach is closed from dusk to dawn.

Rental Cottages

1. Pots, pans, silverware, vacuum cleaner, microwave, toasters, coffee makers are furnished.
2. Cottages must be left clean or your cleaning deposit is forfeited. All food/beverages must be taken with you.  All trash must be placed in dumpsters next to the motel.
3. Cottage rentals are limited to one family unless specific arrangements are made otherwise.
4. Deposit is $200 per week per cottage, by mail or credit card and must be paid. ?The deposit is not refundable after June 16.
5. A $100 cleaning deposit is required, and will be refunded after inspection.
6. New Hampshire has an 8% Rooms and Meal Tax on the amount of the rental.
7. Cottage assignments are made on a first come/first serve basis.
8. The renters of our campground cottages must read and initial that they have read and will comply with our campground policies.
